One more item is crossed off on my bucket list! Yayy! All of us are first timers at Universal Studios Japan so yes, excited doesn’t even begin to describe our feeling towards Universal Studios Japan. My first Universal Studios experience was at Hollywood, LA and it was beyond imagination. To be at Universal Studios Japan is like reliving my childhood memory all over again.
Everything at Universal Studios Japan is much better than expected. We've tried almost every ride at Universal Studios Japan except for the scary rides like Hollywood Dream and the newest ride in the park, The Flying Dinosaur, such a crazy-intense ride! The screaming sound itself is terrifying. Anyway enough said, here is our first USJ trip!
Beautiful reproduction of New York facades.
BELLO!! I was overjoyed to finally explore this part of Universal Studios Japan. Minion is such a cutie, still remember clearly when we couldn't stop laughing just by seeing a 30 seconds video of Minion singing in a gibberish language.
Minion popcorn buckets is the most 'kawaii' thing ever!! Girls were everywhere screaming 'KAWAII' with this cute high-pitched tone! We bought Dave & Bob popcorn buckets, Stuart drink bottle and also all the other Minion foods they sell in Minion Happy Kitchen.
Oh and in case you're wondering, that 3 cute Minion miniatures are from McDonalds Indonesia, so you can't find those minis in USJ, we brought them as additional photo props. Gunawan styled all these photogenic Minions, he's such a talented hubby. Great job Babe!
Stuart drink bottle is the newest 'hits', children and adults can be seen bringing this small Minion all across the park. The picture on the right is Minion steamed pork buns.
Chocolate Banana Churro.
My outfit wasn't intentional but I'm so pleased that I dressed like the Minions. Some of the employees reached out to me and said "Wow, nice outfit, same outfit with the Minions", it happened about 2 or 3 times. I wondered, how could these people are so remarkably nice!
Harry Potter World
The experience we had at Harry Potter World was indefinable! We're not die hard fans of Harry Potter but we've watched all the movies and we liked them. Entering Hogsmeade Village is like a dream, we were immersed in this new world. A village lined with snow-capped roofs, even in summertime.
The wait time to play Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey was insane, it's two and a half hours. Luckily, we got our express passes beforehand and it saved us our time. Express Passes could only be bought from their Japanese website and it's a bit tricky so click here to get information of how to buy them online.
Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey is a new experience for all of us, it was incredible & thrilling, as if we were actually playing quidditch. The dementor felt so real, I screamed super loud as it was about to come close. Horrifying! Bad news is both of us ate a lot before we played this ride and felt nauseous for the next hour.
The Chocolate Frog.
Look at how pretty the employee is. The butterbeer is very nice but a little too sweet for my liking.
The overall experience at Universal Studios Japan was incredible but frankly speaking I'm still missing the studio tour in Hollywood so much! Nothing can beat the whole Studio Tour experience but Universal Studios Japan really brought an enormous amount of excitement and joy to our family. We thank you for that! またね, Universal Studios Japan!
