Happy Valentine's Day, loves! Since this is our first Valentine's post, I made crazy over-the-top cereal milkshakes in shades of the most cliché Valentine's Day color, pink! Gunawan and I love milkshakes so much, especially me. I have a major weakness for milk & ice cream. Milkshake? Double temptation.
Cereal milk is the ultimate delicacy! Who doesn't love the taste of that leftover sweet milk which has been infused by our favorite cereal flavor?
1 cup whole milk
1 cup cereal
The cereal I used for this cereal milk recipe is Kellogs Corn Flakes Honey Crunch with Nuts. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the cereal until you can see a slightly shiny coating on the flakes. Do not over bake them or it'll burnt like what I did on my first attempt. Cool it down and put the baked cereal into the milk and let it sit for 30 minutes. After a good 30 minutes, sift all the cereals and pour the cereal milk into another jar.
2 Cups Cereal Milk
6 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
100 gr White Chocolate (melted)
Edible Pink Pearls
Milkshake is probably the simplest recipe ever. With just 2 simple steps the end result is incredibly scrummy. First, prepare all the ingredients and whip the whipped cream or just use a canned whipped cream. Second, blend the cereal milk and 4 scoops of ice cream (the other 2 scoops will be used later) and voilà!
Melt the white chocolate and cover the upper part of the glass using spatula. It's important to decorate the upper part of the glass first before pouring the milkshake into the glass.
Prepare all the materials that will be used to create the 'crazy' look. As some people call them crazy over-the-top milkshakes, the key to create extreme milkshakes is to have fun and be crazy. Just sprinkle everything on the upper part of the glass which has been fully covered with melted white chocolate.
Pour the milkshake into the decorated glass and put 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream for each serving. Swirl the whipped cream on top of it and stick the rock candies, biscuit sticks, marshamallows, and any other edible decorating materials you have in hand. It is then ready to be served! Enjoy!
We really hope you'll make this recipe for your loved ones because Gunawan loves this cereal milkshake so much. He literally gawked in surprise because it was so good. Leave a comment down below if you decide to make this recipe and let us know what you think! :)
