My sincere apology for not posting anything for a few months last year. As some of you know that I'm now pregnant through my first post of the year (Pregnancy Announcement). I had morning-to-night sickness for a few months and as much as I wanted to keep up with my blog posts, I just couldn't seem to find the energy to do it but thank God morning sickness is now completely gone. Work is piling up and now it's time to catch up.
Perfect picture of the golden hour in Kuta beach is supposed to be in my Bali travel series but since this is a very late post I decided to make this my new year's resolution. So, everyone has been doing new year's resolution so here I am writing down mine.
People, me included, need to raise more awareness of healthy eating. I never realize the importance of eating healthy food until my sister started eating healthy. She explained a lot to me why should I start eating healthy with all the benefits and how it's way better to eat healthy food rather than starving myself to lose weight.
We stuck too long in eating so many comfort foods which mostly isn't healthy. I'm not saying that we musn't eat junk food or any comfort food at all but they're not to be consumed on a daily basis. In conlusion I need to have less carbs, less junk food, less oily food, less sugar, less snacking and more veggies, more fruits and drink plenty of water.
This has been one of the things I wanted to be better at but apparently I need more effort to get it right. I've read so many articles about how being well rested may improve your life in so many ways like being more focus, more productive, less stressed, won't get sick as often and of course healthier. I really need to stop watching movies at night and turn off my phone at bed time so I won't keep on checking on my phone and start surfing the internet for no reason.
As Christian, our body is the temple of God so by living a healthy life (eat well, sleep well and exercise) is a way of honoring God. Our body is a responsibility which has been given to us to be taken care of.
Even though we wouldn't be able to travel much this year because of our baby, this is the one point that will always appear in every new year's resolution without a pause. Travel is an eye-opening experience and it helps us to make the most of our life. Travel always gave us new perspectives, it is sometimes out of our comfort zone and it definitely teaches us a lot.
There are just some days when I just want to chill all day long but mostly it's much more chill days rather than productive days so it really need to be fixed. Delaying works is not right and it doesn't take us anywhere.
Be a Better Person.
"Be a better person than I was yesterday" is one of my favorite motivational quotes and it motivates me daily. "Be a Better Person" is a series of lists inside, a better person represents every aspect of my life that needs to be better, emotionally, spiritually, socially, intellectually, physically and so on.
Getting closer to God is obviously #1 on the list. I'm far from perfect but this is one of the things I can do to please God. I don't have the power to change people but I do have the power to change myself into a better person. Everything starts from within.
Writing new year's resolution has helped me set up my goals. Thinking of the things I should improve for this brand new year is like evaluating all the things I should've done right a year ago. If you never write down any new year's resolution then I genuinely suggest you to make one.
